The Hanky & Twink Codes

What is The Hanky Code ? Also called flagging and the handkerchief code, was a way for gay men to get to know ones sexual preferences in the early 1970s.

And the Twink Code ? I am not to sure when the Twink Code arose as i couldnt find info on it. But to my theory its vaguely similar to The Hanky code in the sense of gay men commonly using it. By looking at the nature of the code it seems that it was used around the 90s early 2000s, as the age of the internet was growing to its prime. Only difference between The Hanky code and The Twink Code is that The Hanky Code is displayed in a more obivous (to gay men) and extroverted matter as it was also used to communicate in loud places, for instance the bars. while The Twink Code seems to be more subtle and more introverted.
